Frontend work in the age of AI

AI changes the shape of frontend work, but it does not make interface craft less important. It makes it more visible.

When a product depends on probabilistic systems, the interface becomes the place where uncertainty is negotiated. Users need to understand what the system knows, what it is doing, what it needs from them, and when they should trust or challenge the result.

Good AI interfaces make state legible. Good AI engineering workflows do the same thing for teams: they expose context, make review natural, and keep responsibility clear. That is frontend work, product work, and systems work all at once.
